"People will demand that I make them look beautiful. Well, then 99% of my job is done because each person is beautiful. A big part of my work with them is to understand what’s bothering them then find the least invasive, most effective solution."
Bart Rademaker is one of the rare doctors whose genuine compassion, phtographer’s eye and extraordinary skills make him one of the area’s most sought-after Board Certified plastic surgeons and a trusted media advisor.
Born in Holland, raised in the United States, Mexico and England and fluent in four languages, Dr. Rademaker is by nature and conditioning a fluid global thinker and a judgment-free partner in care. With over the 20 years in clinical practice, he’s honed ability to home in on the problem, put it in context and find the most advantageous solutions.
At the tender age of 17, Dr. Rademaker knew he was destined to be a doctor and attended the prestigious Erasmus University of Rotterdam Medical School. He found his calling when he came to his surgery rotation at the very end.
After graduating, he had fellowship at the Mayo Clinic and studied under Dr. Ian T. Jackson, one of the world’s leading craniofacial surgeons, a pioneer in reconstructive surgery of the skull and face, as well as cosmetic surgery.
He completed his general surgery residency at Providence Hospital in Michigan and finalized his training with a two-year plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, distinguished for its cutting-edge medical technology and research and its emphasis on interdisciplinary and compassionate clinical care.
Dr. Rademaker served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at three Florida Hospitals Hospitals, training interns and residents to approach medicine with high ethical standards and empathy.
In 2005, he opened Rejuva Center, the first holistic Med Spa for rejuvenation and regenerative aesthetics. Today, Dr. Rademaker is widely respected for the organic-looking and natural-feeling results of breast surgery, post-mastectomy and aesthetic regenerative medicine.
He’s a leader in non-surgical facelifts that harness the body’s healing and regenerative capabilities.
At the same time, Dr. Rademaker remains a passionate philanthropist and photojournalist. He has chronicled his work with tsuanmi and war survivors in Sri Lanka and was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his medical mission to El Salvador. He’s the founder of the Welby Medical Frontiers foundation that facilitates non-organizational medical relief ventures in the third world.
